Paekākāriki Escarpment Track
Soak in breathtaking views from one of the Wellington region’s most spectacular hikes. Known as the “Stairway to Heaven”, the Escarpment Track winds high above the coastline between Paekākāriki and Pukerua Bay, offering an unforgettable challenge. Not for the faint-hearted - you’ll conquer around 1,200 steps, navigate narrow ridgeline paths, and traverse two swing bridges.

Te Ara o Whareroa
Te Ara o Whareroa is a family-friendly shared trail winding through the stunning dune landscapes of Queen Elizabeth Park.
