Paekākāriki Station Museum presents an exhibition showcasing the early history of Paekākāriki – as well as celebrating Matariki – through stories, speakers, displays, poetry and film – giving you a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the area.

Friday 20 June: 
11am opening
11:30am Matariki with Kaia Hawkins - a time of renewal and reflection 12:15pm Miria Pōmare presents a talk about Kahe Te Rau-o-te-rangi 1:30pm Queen Elizabeth Park - Park Rangers John Tesoriero & Jordan Clear - restoration projects, wetting of the peat lands, future projects
