The largest of the seaside villages, Paraparaumu Beach is a popular family destination with safe-swimming, family-friendly facilities and easy access.
Stroll, scooter or bike along the paved beachside path, or make a day of it at Maclean Park. This popular beachside spot features a marine-themed playground, skatepark, and plenty of grassy spaces to picnic.
For a day out on the water, the Kāpiti Boating Club offers launching areas for boaters. It also serves as the departure point for Kapiti Island Nature Tours, offering trips to explore the beauty of Kapiti Island.
Beyond the beach you’ll find an array of eateries and boutique shops nearby to explore, as well as the weekly Saturday market to stock up on fresh produce and gourmet treats.
